Thank you, Peter!

I guess the takeaway is that we are not alone? I don’t know if that is reassuring or frightening. 😊 I wouldn’t mind if we had to move our classes over to other schools after, since we are only implementing PK to 2. But tonight support said to hold on importing class lists as when Clever is finally syncing it would duplicate things? Which is strange, as I followed their process for creating class lists to import in the interim while they finish configuring what they need to for the Clever to Seesaw connection.

Hopefully, things can get sorted out sooner than later. I know it’s frustrating for teachers. Understandably so.

If we can hold on connecting until next week, that would be better. Feel free to reach out.

Hi Michelle and all:

We have a person that is a master at this stuff and she has been challenged by Seesaw a little.  Very simple system but does not seem to allow alot of flexibility. Seesaw has to create your schools, tedious a bit and then we ended up manually moving students from our existing schools to a new virtual academy we created.  Not great.  We are also waiting on them to get a couple of major issues resolved.  Maybe you or Amy can help on this one....

We have opted this year to not include PreK.  But when PreK teachers create a "free" account, they are tied onto our licensed account and then when we "remove" them from that, they lose anything they created in their free account.  Argh.  Frustrating on many levels.  Have you dealt with this?

Peter

P. S.  Michelle ... I need very much to talk to you about Powerschool stuff.  Can we connect this or next week?

Thank you, Amy. We are back on hold with Seesaw support. I thought I would reach out to see what others have done, as we have been on hold with the implementation process of a number of times so far. Hoping to be able to get things up and running soon. It’s too bad they don’t have a phone number for support to try to get things moving along. It seems the only way to reach them is to sit in their queue. I just hate to load everyone in, have people start using it, and find that we cannot get everyone moved to their applicable schools. So we are back in a holding pattern. Fingers crossed it can get sorted out soon.

Hi Michelle:

I am in a similar situation with our Prek and hesitant to do that yet for exactly the reasons you state . I have uploaded our K-5 and Remote Only Classes to their respective schools and that went smoothly (we are not using Clever), but there really isn't a setting to move a class into a different school  that is readily apparent. You can move a teacher ( Add Teacher>Existing Teacher) and it states that the classes will go with them, but then the confirmation dialogue indicates the class and students are not moved.

I would pose that question of Seesaw support.

Hi All,

This is our first year with the paid version of Seesaw. It appears the company set up our account with a single “school” for the district, instead of the three elementary schools. They are recommending we have our account adjusted to include the three schools (which is what we expected to start) so that the data can sync from PowerSchool to Seesaw via Clever .

Wondering if anyone has been through this process?

I have our initial class lists ready to load but was waiting to hear from support. I imagine we would need to move the classes to each of their applicable elementary schools (once they are created for us). The teachers are getting antsy (rightfully so) and I would like to get their classes set up. I just don’t want to get it all loaded only to have to do it all over again after the schools are created. Can you move class lists to a different school without impacting access?
