Thanks, Roger and Mark, I’ll ponder a little longer, but will probably have to make a decision before this “event” comes to pass. Meanwhile, is Good Friday a big crowd day? --tn From: Vermont Skiing Discussion and Snow Reports <[log in to unmask]> on behalf of roger Klinger <[log in to unmask]> Reply-To: Vermont Skiing Discussion and Snow Reports <[log in to unmask]> Date: Friday, March 12, 2021 at 7:40 PM To: <[log in to unmask]> Subject: Re: VT season opener. Some local awareness, please? Dan, It's a bit hard to say right now. We just had 3 days with extremely warm temps, so we lost a lot of snow in a low snow year(stake is 2.5 feet below normal.) We won't be losing any more snow until Wednesday, but then we are looking at a weather event on Thursday that may be good or may be bad. It might be worth asking this question again on Wednesday or Thursday of next week when we have a better idea of what will happen. Anyone know any reason—social, meteorological, astrological or illogical—why I shouldn’t pencil in the week of 3/29 for a visit to Waterbury Valley? Talking midweek. Includes Good Friday. Danger signal? Could move it up a week if it seems critical.
