As SPA has recently communicated, NIH has released updated forms (Forms-G). These new forms will become mandatory for all NIH submissions on or after January 25, 2022. An overview of what has been changed can be found here. A few important changes to highlight include:
ALL individuals listed as senior/key personnel will require an eRA Commons username (Commons ID) entered in to the “Credential, e.g. agency login” field on the R&R Senior/Key Person Profile (Expanded) from (NOT-OD-21-109).
The Organizational DUNS is replaced by the Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) as a way of identifying the submitting organization.
Although these new forms are currently available for use on grants.gov, they are not yet supported by UVMClick.
Our software developer has targeted a date of 12/31/2021 for this release and UVM will patch the new forms into the UVMClick system immediately after they become available. If you plan to submit an NIH proposal with a deadline date on or after 1/25/2022, you must wait until after this process has been completed to build your proposal in UVMClick for system-to-system submission.
SPA will send an email notification at that time and will also keep you informed if there are any significant delays.
If you need help determining if your planned submission is affected by this transition, please reach out to your assigned SPA Research Administrator.
