Hi Folks,

Currently our sick time policy follows the MA required Paid Sick Time
requirement (employees accrue at a rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours
worked, with only 40 hours rolling over into the next calendar year). Paid
sick time is a valuable employee benefit that we budget for as if each
employee uses their full amount. It doesn't currently benefit those who
don't use it (aka don't get sick). We are wondering if other farms are
paying out remaining/unused amounts of sick time at the end of each year?
We have a few long time employees that have never received anything from
this 'benefit' because they haven't gotten sick.

Anyone willing to share their Sick Time Policy, and what benefit they offer
to those that do not use their sick time? We can keep Covid-Related sick
time out of this conversation for now.

Thanks for your thoughts!

Missy and Casey
