Unit Pre-Award Administrator (CNHS)


Conduct pre-award sponsored research activities required for the submission, and acceptance of sponsored activities in assigned departments. Provide assistance to principal investigators (PIs) for tasks related to submission of sponsored proposals and award administration. Partner with SPA’s Research Administrators (RAs) to interpret sponsor regulations and University policies for PIs and serve as primary information resource for college research administration procedures. Partner with RAs to deliver and lead training initiatives. Participate in on-boarding PIs with respect to their roles and responsibilities in managing sponsored projects.


Senior Compliance Analyst


Coordinate all aspects of the University of Vermont’s annual Single Audits involving sponsored projects as the department’s primary liaison with UVM’s external auditors. Provide management and support to other internal and external reviews. Oversee risk management of subawards, ensuring compliance with federal, sponsor, and University policy and best practices. Conduct high level analysis, financial and other reporting, and project management related to sponsored project compliance matters. Serve as liaison to internal and external constituents on complex internal/external policy, procedural and process information pertaining to the area of responsibility.


Research Administrator Senior/Trainer


As an active member of the Sponsored Project Administration team, serve as the University’s primary administrative liaison with faculty, sponsors, and collaborating organizations during the complex proposal development and submission process, and award administration. Act as university signing official to provide institutional endorsement and certifications on all assigned proposals. Submit proposals directly to sponsor using electronic submission systems where required. Provide ongoing consultation and assistance in interpreting sponsor and University guidelines as related to proposal submissions.  Lead, develop, and maintain a training program for new and existing central and SPA 2.0 Research Administrators. Serve as the primary subject matter resource during on boarding of all new Research Administration staff members. Oversee campus-wide training session development related to sponsored pre-award and award management processes. Identify externally available training materials and resources.
