I have found the following publications of immense interest for
researchers tracking what is happening in health care reform in
Washington State. It is especially valuable in that each nugget of
information contains a contact name and phone number for you to use to
obtain additional information.

The University of Washington's Health Policy Analysis Program publishes
Reform Extra, a weekly bulletin on implementation of the 1993 Washington
Health Services Act. Reform Extra, which is faxed to suscribers early
every Friday morning, is the most timely available source on the scheduled
reform of Washington's health care delivery system. Each two-page issue
reports on the people taking over key positions and committee assignments,
upcoming meetings and deadlines, budget appropriations and other spending.

This publication complements the UW program's eight-year-old monthly
newsletter, Washington Health, which reports in-depth on the total health
policy environment in Washington state. For information about
subscriptions to Reform Extra, contact Alice Porter or Shauna Brown at
(206) 543-3829 (or Alice Porter at [log in to unmask]).
