"Quasimodo" was the hunchback of Notre Dame, famous in French literature
of the 19th century.
 
The second edition (1991) of _Jablonski's dictionary of syndromes and eponymic
diseases_ lists : "Quasimodo syndrome" on page 499, and describes it as:
 
                severe kyphoscoliosis with respiratory disorders due to
                thoracic deformity, including obstructive apnea and
                hypopnea during sleep.

single citation to the literature:  _Chest_ 1981, 79:626-630.
