PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS DIRECTED AT ONLY MEDICAL STAFF DOING GALL
BLADDER STONES REMOVAL OPERATIONS OR PERSONS WHO ARE FAMILIAR WITH SUCH
OPERATIONS. THANK YOU.

Dear Participant,

We are a group of NUS students who are doing a feasibility study on
voice-controlled surgical robotic arm. This robotic arm is specially designed
to replace the third surgeon conventionally required in gall bladder stones
removal operation to hold on to a surgical camera that enables the chief
surgeon to have a view of the internal organs of the patient. This robotic
arm is ceiling-mounted and will provide a stable grip on the surgical camera
once it is in position within the patient's body. Further, the robotic arm
has the flexibility of being to adjust the position of the camera in response
to voice commands issued by the chief surgeon.

With the help of this voice-controlled robotic arm, a surgeon is
freed from his non-critical task and the utilization of scarce skilled medical
staff can be fully optimized!

To find out the response for this product, we are conducting the
following survey. This survey will let us understand your needs for such
equipment. We hope you will answer the questions to the best of your
knowledge and mail your response to the following address,

                [log in to unmask]

Kindly mail in your response before 26 AUG 1994.

Thank you in advance.
