Knowledge & Consultation Services Librarian

Knowledge & Consultation Services staff manage a Knowledge Laboratory, design
navigational aids, educate and consult with users, test and evaluate software
and provide outreach services.  Candidates should desire the challenge of
working in a fast paced, team managed organization, the creativity of designing
new services and products based on sophisticated information needs, especially
in the basic sciences, and the excitement and personal growth of employing
highly technical and expert interpersonal skills in collaborative roles with
faculty and researchers.
 
Qualifications: MLS or equivalent; experience in information delivery and
management in a health or related field; biomedical databases and
Internet searching; subject strength in biological or other relevant science;
understanding of PC-Dos, Mac, UNIX, Windows, and/or Novell; preferred
experience with genetic or protein databases, structural data, visual and
multimedia software.
 
Salary: depending upon experience, minimum $32,000.
