Sorry for sending to the list, but was a bit quick on
the delete key just there.
 
Geographers still use stereoscopes for viewing 3D
aerial photos of topographic features. Not sure
if they can accommodate the format of cards you
have.  Anyway, perhaps your local university map library
can give you a lead on where to get one to try it out.
Or, you could submit it as an build-it project to a
college or high school science class!   :)
PS: clients who have learned to see those annoying
"magic eye" 3D posters can probably view them without a
stereoscope - but have plenty of headache pills on hand!
