Debbie,
I do have another concern with using a web as opposed to a
character-based solution beyond the nude centerfold and X-rated images
available on the interent. This concern relates to the lowest common
denominator assumptions one makes about their patron base. A web assumes
a much higher quality computer and modem than a system relying on older
character-based technology solutions, and consequently limits services to
the less affluent. A web solution at this point in time would need to
also provide character-based clients for DOS, WINDOWS, and MACINTOSH for
our patrons; or perhaps be a marriage of Gopher and Web.
