1. Regarding funding of my library budget, most of it comes from regular
hospital funding.  The active medical staff contributes approx. $7500 of
the total $69,000 or so (assuming they actually make their
contributions).  They *think* they're supporting the library, however,
which is good.
 
2. Regarding cumulated index medicus:  I've just finished polling the
medical staff to see what they think about it.  There are 75 of them, and
34 responded.  Of those, 32 said to cancel the subscription and discard
the back issues.  1 suggested cancelling and keeping back issues (ha!)
and 1 suggested continuting and keeping 5 years.  Given the space
problems in this library, the future of CIM doesn't look good!
