***Attention Recent Grads, Current Students, and Library Educators***
 
The deadline for the Medical Library Association's Rittenhouse Award has
been extended until November 1, 1995. Please note below:
 
1) a description of the papers that may be submitted
2) the amount of the award ($500)
3) contact information for questions and submissions
 
 
The Rittenhouse Award is presented annually for the best unpublished paper
(bibliographical, topic based or report of research results) on medical
librarianship or medical informatics written by a student in an
ALA-accredited school of library and information studies or a trainee in an
internship in health sciences librarianship or medical informatics.
 
The Rittenhouse Medical Bookstore in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania established
the award in 1967. The author of the winning essay receives a cash award of
$500 and a certificate at the Association's Annual meeting.
 
Papers must have been written during the 18 months preceding the deadline
and during the student's coursework toward a graduate degree in library and
information studies or medical informatics.
