     MEDICAL LIBRARIAN
 
     The Library of the Health Sciences at the University of North Dakota
     is seeking a service-oriented individual to fill the position of
     Southeast Clinical Campus Librarian, located at the VA Medical Center
     in Fargo, ND.
 
     Duties include:  providing reference services; marketing and providing
     other information services to VA clientele and to clinical faculty,
     students and residents from the UND School of Medicine; expanding,
     marketing and providing outreach information services to rural health
     practitioners and School of Medicine students in the SE quadrant of
     the state; developing instructional materials; providing orientation
     and training to School of Medicine students, faculty and residents;
     and providing end-user training to local and rural health
     professionals, with emphasis on database searching using CD-ROM and
     Grateful Med; selecting, cataloging and organizing print, audiovisual
     and electronic reources; participating in long- and short-range
     planning with the School of Medicine Library and VA Library.
 
     QUALIFICATIONS:  Master's degree in library science or closely related
     field; three years professional experinece in public services; good
     communication and interpersonal skills, and diplomacy in providing
     services to diverse clientele; ability to search biomedical electronic
     information resources and a working knowledge of Internet resources.
     Preferred:  experience in health sciences library; instructional
     experience; supervisory experience.
 
     TARGETED HIRING SALARY:  $25,872 - $30,000
