85 Students returned one week ago after spending their Spring Breaks doing community work in different areas around the United States. For the past 8 months they had been preparing for their trips. Students learned about the issues they would be working with, they learned about the people they would be working with and they learned about themselves. It is incredible to hear about the experiences people have had over the past year and especially over the past few weeks. Having been on an Alternative Spring Break, I can vouch for many that this experience does last a lifetime and often leads to even more instrumental work by participants. It is incredible to see the expressions in the eyes of those people who participated, to see how their experience have affected them. In some people I have seen dazzling smiles, in others I have seen tears. Each person has been affected in a different way. I just wanted to take a second to welcome back the ASBers - students and staff. You all put a lot of work into your experience - Congratulations. I also wanted to recognize the hard work of Charlie Wallace and Abby Benedetto...Thanks for doing all that you did. ***********//////////\\\\\\\\\\@@@@@@@@@@<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>***************** "When I dare to be powerful- to use the strength in the service of my vision, Then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid." -Audre Lorde
