Dream-state ride down the interstate and 4:30 AM. Arrived at Gondola
around 5:20. Arrive summit I dunno when 'cause it was dark out. Bumbled
into shape resembling Reggie and Rod (mt. ops) and PattiMac. Scarfed free
coffee and free donuts and free carnation. Woke up in time for groovy
sunrise service sans sun: weather was 22 degrees, fog and snow. Yes, snow.
Not really pounding, but maybe and inch or two of fresh that had been
groomed into existing suurface. Managed four fast cruisers down a variety
of things before Brunch at the CLiff house. Surfaces were marvelous for
the upper half, but still pretty rock hard for the second half. Soft snow
for the last 100 feet before the gondola.

Place was pretty packed for the one hour of free skiing, kinda empty we
when pulled out at 10:00 AM. Still, four runs before breakfast and one
after? How can you go wrong.

Last run down, it *was* pounding snow. There is no spring in the North
Country.
