Dear Friends: Last night, about an hour before leaving the office, my boss called and asked me to look up/search for information on: "age specific competencies" for "employee performance appraisials" for "medical records personnel." Supposedly, JCAHO is looking/poking for information in this area during their survey process. My boss came up with nothing through the AHIMA listserv for medical records specialists. She believes that for JCAHO to be looking for such information is a real stretch. She is leaving no stone unturned, though. I came up with nothing. I have tried medline/health databases to no avail. Does anyone have any suggestions or has any one heard of such a request? What are these people looking for? Thank you for your help and best wishes to all for a happy Easter/Passover/Spring season.
