Yup, that's so...I have resorted to reading through materials & making
notations in the nearest margin ...it's usually as simple as noting
"kidney" for renal, "chest" for thoracic, "heart" for cardiac; it gets to
be automatic after a while & occasionally a simple drawing
(kidneys-ureters-bladder-urethra) that takes seconds to do will clarify
enormously....more awareness of this linguistic barrier has occurred
since more ordinary normal people are getting into computers & have to
master the ram & rom & baud and interface etc. vocabulary, find that it's
pretty easy to pick up another language when youreally WANT to do so!
The mystique, the eliteness of medical terminology intimidates, but it's
only words & giving a few clarifications takes the mystique away, helps
readers to ask & not feel inferior. And it doesn't take more than a few
