Dear Margaret,
The correct title is Waldemar Medical Research Foundation (1960-1974). There
is an entry for it in the AMA's Guide to the American Medical Association
Historical Health Fraud and Alternative Medicine Collection which came out
in 1992. (I used to be in charge of the collection). Entry no. 908
apparently has some material on the Foundation- but one cannot tell by the
entry how much information is there. You might try contacting Jane Kenamore,
who is the current director of Archives at the AMA. She will tell you (or
your researcher) what the current accession policies are to see the
material. In Chicago- the AMA is at (312) 464-5000, ask for Jane Kenamore in
the Archives.

Sorry to bother the whole list, but this is the best way to reach colleagues
in this area, and hopefully somebody else has heard of this institute.

Anyway, the Waldmar Cancer Institute was in Woodbury NY (on Sunnyside
Blvd.) in the late 60s early 70s. I'm trying to find articles related the
cases of fraudulent treatments, etc. that went on there. If anyone knows
anything, including whether the name is spelled correctly, I would
appreciate whatever leads you have.

Thanks for the help.
