Just when you thought it was safe to get back in your car, Vermont
history tracks you down via VPR's "Switchboard" program, this Wednesday,
4/22, 7 to 9 p.m.

David Bryan, Program Director at the Ethan Allen Homestead Trust, and
Gregory Sanford, State Archivist (and slave of the Homestead of late),
appear with Nina Keck on "Switchboard." They will discuss Ethan and his
significance in Vermont history, as well as his rise as a mythic Vermont
figure. Who does Ethan belong to? Why is he virtually the only
larger-than-life hero in Vermont? And how come no one talks about him in
debates over drunk driving?

Tune in to listen, call in to comment.
