Aurora Health Care, a 10-hospital system in eastern Wisconsin, invites applications for the full time position of Systems Librarian. Responsibilities include maintaining the Aurora Libraries wide-area Novell network, including monthly updates and new user assistance. The Aurora Libraries will start migrating to an NT Intranet/Internet platform in July of 1998. (Advanced technical support is supplied by our Information Services staff). Other duties include teaching customized Internet classes for different types f health professionals, maintaining a small Computer Lab, and helping Library staff, including those at branch libraries, use office software and solve other hardware and software issues. Required qualifications include an ALA-accredited M.L.I.S. and at least some experience working with library automation, or a degree in computer science with some experience in libraries. The candidate will have a strong service orientation, demonstrated aptitude and enthusiasm for teaching and consulting, good organizational and project management skills, initiative and creativity, and excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred qualifications include experience with OVID Technologies, EOSi integrated library system software, and CAI software. Experience with the Internet, Microsoft Office, and Novell and NT networks is required. Salary is based on experience and is negotiable, with a range of $30-42,000.
