After recent events here in Virginia concerning babies switched at birth,
and comments about the bracelets falling off, I got to thinking about
alternative ways to ID baby to mother. Then I thought back to a picnic last
summer when I had a temporary tatoo applied to my ankle (the bohemian in me
comes out occasionally). Why not have temporary tatoos made up in pairs
(large for mom, small for baby) with the hospital logo and a unique number
on each set? Mine lasted almost two weeks, and it would be great
advertising for the hospital (just kidding).
