The Family Practice (SIG) will meet on Monday, May 17 at 2:OO pm in the
McCormick Room of the Chicago Hyatt Regency.

All MLA members attending the Chicago meeting are invited to attend.

The Annotated Agenda follows.

1.  Evaluation of Fulltext Electronic Resources (free or contract)
Commercial products such as MDConsult and WebMD will be critiqued.  Free
sites such as the National Guidelines Clearinghouse and the Virtual
Hospital will also be addressed.

2.  Clinical Digital Libraries Project
This is a follow-up from last year's meeting. Steven MacCall of the
University of Alabama will give an overview and update of current project

3.  Identifying and Meeting Training Needs
There will be discussion on methods for providing instruction for
information resources training.  What types of hands-on and distant
learning approaches are considered most effective.

4.  The Role of Evidence-Based Medicine in Family Practice
There will be an update on this year's EBM SIG meeting and CE courses.
Members will be asked to discuss how EBM is used in their Family Practice
settings.

5.  Other Topics Identified by Members and Participants
Participants are encouraged to bring topics they think are important to
Family Practice.
