I'm with you, Alice -- while in an ideal world everybody *would* have
the "latest & greatest," reality simply is that not everyone is going to.
We use Netscape here (Thankfully! I like *some* M$oft programs but
not Explorer!). I've been using 4.6 at home since it was released, but
here they finally put 4.5 on the LAN last week. Due to backward
compatibility issues, functional programs that affect almost everyone
(& soon to BE everyone if they want to use DOCLINE) HAVE to be
written for the least common denominator, & new bells/whistles be
damned. It may well mean that you can't execute every new gee-whiz
add-on that comes down the pike, but it *also* means that the basic
functions of the program are going to be available to everybody
regardless of platform, version, or local security limitations.
