I recall the winter of '89/90, I believe, when Jay got a late October or
early November dump of 5.5 feet.  It fell on a Wednesday.  Buddy Henry and I
drove up from Boston on Saturday morning, and it was gone.  All gone.  I've
got photos somewhere of Henry booted up and on skis on Chalet Meadow and it
was exactly that: a meadow.
