UVM's Banner Student Information System (SIS) will be unavailable from

          Friday, December 31, 1999, starting at 12:00 noon, through
          Saturday, January 1, 2000, noon or later

to allow for system backups and testing before and after the Year 2000
crossover.

This will affect all forms of access to the student information system:

         []     Web and Touch-tone registration for spring.

         []     Web access for the UVM Course Catalog.

                 This includes everything found by going to the UVM
                 home page and choosing "Academics".

          []     Web access for course info, class lists, schedules,
                 policies.

                 This includes everything on the Registrar's web pages,
                 found by going to the UVM home page and choosing
                 "Offices and Services", then "Registrar's Office";
                 or by going to:

                         http://giraffe.uvm.edu/~rgweb/

          []     Telnet or dial-in to giraffe for Banner SIS.

Please direct questions to the CIT Help Line, [log in to unmask] or
656-2604.  As usual, once Banner SIS is again available, usage and PIN
questions should be directed to the Registrar's Office,
