RSS-Abstract-Words Keyword

RSS-Abstract-Words=max[,min]

This keyword defines the maximum and minimum number of words used for implicit RSS abstracts. A setting of "RSS-Abstract-Words= 0" disables implicit RSS abstracts. When creating the abstracts, LISTSERV stops at the first paragraph boundary after which it has collected at least the minimum number of words, adding an ellipsis if there is more text, or when it reaches the maximum number of words, whichever comes first. If the message has an explicit abstract defined, the maximum and minimum parameters are ignored and the explicit abstract is used instead.

The default is "RSS-Abstract-Words= 100,50". This keyword overrides the RSS_ABSTRACT_WORDS site configuration setting.
