Hello everyone,
Hello,
I just wanted to let you all know what happened at our meeting on Wednesday
the 28th. We had a good showing of people and hopefully we will be able to
maintain interest so our program will be successful.
Things Discussed:
Practice Times: Possibly Wednesday nights, if we get indoor field space.
Also if anyone is interested, we can do drills in the parking lots. Until
the snow is gone we might not have any where else to practice. And, if any
one feels compelled to organize a team work out or run, that would be a good
way to start forming team unity.
Fundraising: We discussed doing something at Rasputins, but we are unsure
if that will be feasible in the amount of time we have left. Though we will
need to form some committees to organize such things for next year. Contact
Kim Quirk at [log in to unmask] if you are interested in helping out.
Budget: Currently we don't have any money. The club was approved after the
season was budgeted. So we will be asking for $5 dues in order to purchase
balls. We will also need to decided if next year we will want a coach.
We also introduced ourselves. It seems that most people have a good deal of
experience playing. Despite this we will need to get used to playing with
each other and this will not happen over night. So for us to better
function as team it is best that everyone attend as many practices as
possible. Maintaining interest will be a key factor in the success of the
program. By building a foundation this semester we will be able to start
off on a good note next year.
I think that's everything....if not...every one should feel free to send out
another email letting us know other key points....
Take Care
Deirdre
