Hi girls-
We're cancelling practice today due to all the rain....it's clear right now but
it could rain again and the field is probably soaked so in the best interest of
maintaining the field we thought it should dry off before we play on it again. 
Practice will still be held on Saturday from 2-4 on the Redstone field as usual
and hopefully we will get a better turn out than the last two weekend
practices!!!  Emma, Michelle, Trissa and I discussed the idea of having
captains to help run practices as well as possibly take over a leadership
position in the future.  If you are interested in this,  here are the
qualifications:
-you must be at all the practices except for the case of illness, emergency
cramming, etc.....9 out of 10 definitely!!!  if you have a class that conflicts
with practice times you probably are not a good candidate for captain right now
even though you may be great for the position.  we really need people to be
there ALL the time and dealing with the SGA stuff that we are doing has proven
to be extremely time consuming so we cannot even commit to 9 out of 10
practices ourselves.  if you are interested, email [log in to unmask],

explain what conflicts if any you have and why you would like to assume this
position.  you must be comfortable with working with kira to organize practices
when she can't make it as well as working with her when she is there so being
vocal, upbeat, dependable and outgoing are all qualities that are necessary for
this position. attendance would also be a responsibility and this is an
imperative job that obviously requires your attendance.
-we are also looking for a fundraising captain who would be completely in charge
of brainstorming and planning fundraising events every few weeks for the entire
year.  we really want to get on this fundraising so that we can get sweatshirts
and all the cool stuff that the other clubs fundraise for.  direct all emails
to the four of us (addresses above) and keep in mind that these emails (the
regular captain ones as well) are all confidential so the four of us will look
them over and discuss them with kira but nobody else will see them.  feel free
to say whatever you think qualifies you for these jobs and what improvements
you think you could bring to the club.
so, i hope we get a lot of interest in these positions so that the club can be
as good as possible!!!  take the night off and enjoy it and be ready for
