Hi Ladies,
I wanted to wish you all luck at the UCONN Tournament tomorrow. I wish
I could be there with you, as you may have heard I have my umpire
ranking test Saturday so I can't be at the game. Be sure to thank
Michelle's Mom for stepping up and filling in for me.
Here are a couple of things to keep in mind for our first spring game:
When you get on the field remember that it's a lot bigger then what you
are used to at practice, don't bunch, spread out, create space for
yourself and your teammates.
Also, since we have new hard boundaries lets try to use them to our
benefit. Use your good defensive positioning to force the other team
toward the line and away from the middle. Be aggressive and keep the
pressure on in hopes that there will be a turnover.
Oh yeah, and be sure to TALK!!! Team communication is just as
important as any other skill.
I have pasted the final roster below in case there were any questions.
Have fun, enjoy yourselves, and be sure to keep the intensity up
throughout both of your games. I can't wait to hear how they go.
I hope you all have a safe trip!
See you Sunday at Norwich!
Kira
