The Northern Vermont Girls Youth Lacrosse League is looking for umpires
for this Sunday May 7th as there is a shortage of certified refs in the
area. Games are in both South Burlington and Essex and run from
roughly 9am-3pm. There are 3 games per field in Essex and 5 games per
field in S. Burlington. The league will pay $25 per game to the
umpires. You do not have to commit to the entire time, any time you
can be there is great.
All you need to have a whistle and a good understanding of the rules.
(FYI... There is no checking allowed in youth lacrosse and they also
have the new hard boundary rule.) You will also need your own
transportation to the fields.
Please contact me by 5pm tonight if you are interested in making a
little money this weekend running around outside with middle school
kids. It's usually pretty fun and it's a good chance to teach these
kids about the lacrosse. For some of them it'll be their first time
playing in a game.
I will forward your info on to the league coordinator once you e-mail
me and she will place you at a field. You will get directions at that
point.
Thank you,
Kira
