Keep the ideas flowing on the bike path ferry. It is a very delicate
issue over there with their suburban sensibilities. I am trying to
refrain from pissing them off with overt, in-your-face displays, but
maybe having others do it would be wonderful. Anyway, the opponents
have taken us to court -- appealing the Zoning Board's decision. The
question is who defends the appeal. Colchester says they don't want to
touch it and that the project developer should defend the permit in
court. Winooski Valley Park District says it was just the applicant
for the permit, not the project developer. Burlington Bikeways Inc.
(the project developer) isn't sure we can get party status in the appeal
because we were not a party to the permit process (WVPD submitted the
permit)! Crazy, eh?!?!
