Solutions" the one example given is "identify shoulders in immediate need of
attention,"--would also suggest as an example, dangerous/high delay
intersections that can be treated with roundabouts
The 1000 Friends of Oregon study of pedestrian activity levels found four
factors that predominate--relative flatness, presence of sidewalks, an
interconnected sideewalk system, and ease of crossing intersections.
Roundabouts solve the ease of intersection crossing.
