**_Reminder_**: The first APA Web conference session is October 4th, on
Green Community Planning:
**Green Community Planning**
October 4, 2006
4:00 p.m.–5:30 p.m., ET
Planning is uniquely situated to promote and implement green
development practices. Learn about programs that require
environmentally friendly building materials and approaches. See how
an inspired partnership has produced thousands of units of green
affordable housing. Presenters discuss how site planning and
development can be linked to water quality issues, energy efficiency
measures, and even healthy living programs. Explore what works and
how entire communities have come to embrace green planning. CPD: 3
VPA and DHCA, the two major sponsors, will be connecting to this
conference at the National Life Building in Montpelier, and we hope many
of you can join us. If you need directions to National Life, let me know.
We have reserved the 5th floor Board room for this occasion. To get
there, enter the North Lobby of National Life. You will need to sign in
at the security desk, allowing some extra time, since check-in has just
recently become more elaborate. Be sure to bring some form of ID. Then
take the elevator up to the 5th floor. When you get off the elevator,
turn right and continue down the hall to just before the double doors.
The Board Room is on your left.
The session begins at 4:00, but I have reserved a room from 3:30 until
6:30, to allow us time to settle in and to hold discussion afterward if
people want. There will be light refreshments available. */ _Please
let me know by October 2nd if you plan to attend_, as we need to plan
for the number of people who will be there. You can respond either by
phone (802-828-2678) or email /**[log in to unmask]*
<mailto:[log in to unmask]>*/./*
Hope to see you all there!
