From Deans to Department Chairs, Jim will share techniques on leading the entire institution to a viable participation throughout the recruitment process with success stories spanning over 15 years. He will also cover development experiences that fully utilize multimedia marketing tools, extending their potential from email to personalized web content.

Who is the speaker? James Maraviglia currently is the assistant vice president for admissions, recruitment and financial aid at Cal Poly. He has been actively involved in admissions and recruitment for the past thirty years. Since 1991 he has served in the Cal Poly admissions department as director and executive director. During his career, he has been responsible for reengineering the workplace of two very different institutions, has won awards from several professional associations and written numerous papers on enrollment planning, admissions, recruitment and reengineering the workplace through technology. In addition to his work at Cal Poly, he serves as a professional consultant helping other institutions interested in implementing similar solutions for recruitment and enrollment.
