Good evening everyone,
Firstly, thank you to Tyler, Phil, Cory, Gus, Mike, Alex and Stephen who were with me today in the shop to help get things going this week.
We got a lot of things done and made some more design decisions, specifically in regards to the gas tank and anti-submarine belt mounting. We cut out the camber and caster shims to be machined and also got some lathe work done on the steering column splines so they fit within the shaft tubing.
It was a great start to the week.
I hope to continue the trend and see you all in the shop tomorrow to make some more progress on those tasks as well as any others you want to work on.
I will be in the shop late morning as I have an early engagement which is going to require my time. I will try to get up there at 1130am.
I am going to remain on-campus and in the shop until my 530pm class so please stop by if you have some time or are dubbing around Votey aimlessly.
A reminder to those who expressed interest today in going to the race in April - please sign up at sae.org for a student membership, affiliate yourself with The University of Vermont in your account settings, and email me your customer number. I will then add you to the official team roster so you will be able to attend the race and drive the car.
Thanks again,
See you tomorrow,
--
