I have just gotten word that my application to provide a TI-Nspire CX three day training in Vermont this summer has been approved.  On July 30-August 1 (Mon-Wed) a three day training will take place at Vergennes Union High School.  One session will be a "beginner" session entitled "Getting Started With TI-Nspire."  The other session will be an "intermediate" level session.  The intermediate level session could be for teachers who took the beginning level session last summer or for teachers who are using the Nspire but want more instruction.  The cost is $350.  That includes your choice of the TI-Nspire CX (either CAS or Non-CAS), the Teacher Edition software (places an emulator on your computer), a binder of all of the activities for the training and 18 contact hours of training.  If a school or district purchases 5 slots they get a sixth one for free.  There was also an announcement from TI this week that they have a new promotional program allowing teachers to get a Navigator System for Nspire for free.  Part of the requirements for the "free" Navigator is to participate in TI training so that would fit well with the summer training.  Registration for the summer three day is on line (first come first served).  I wanted to release this info to VT teachers prior to other locations so that you can get in before it fills up.  The website for registering is www.education.ti.com/go/t3summer2012 .  The site for finding out information about the "free Navigator" promotion is www.education.ti.com/nspire or call your sales consultant at 866.846.2844 option 2.  My e-mail is [log in to unmask] if you have questions.  Jean McKenny
